I have to go out shortly to take my Nan shopping. She doesn't need much, mostly cat food and lettuce for the tortoise , but she likes to wibble around Sainsbury's for an hour or so, then on to Netto and Aldi's.
So let me direct your attention to the excellent Mr Dick Puddlecoat who has a look at the figures of smoking prevalence and costings since the smoking ban and it's utter failure to actually reduce smoking, but also it's success at putting people in the private sector out of work.
To my mind it just goes to prove, that as throughout history ( see Prohibition, The War on Drugs) as soon as a government bans or makes something illegal, contrary bastards that the public are they will do the opposite.
No other government has done more to criminalise ordinary members of the public , to the extent that now nearly any word , thought or deed can be held to be illegal if observed by The Righteous and their baying court of bansturbaters.
Will you please just 'Fuck Off' and leave us alone.
