Where The Wild Things Are

.
Some people have told me it's unseemly and maybe a bit creepy for a grown man to get so excited over the film adaptation of a children's book.

But I don't care, and I would definitely have this as a print on my wall ( if I had one.)

  1. The trailers look pretty good, but I don't think they've managed to really capture the essense of the book's illustrations, sadly...

  2. That's always the problem with drawing to live action,( Scooby Doo, The Flintsones etc.) I suppose they could have done an animation in the style, so it's quite brave to do live action and Mr Sendak's happy with the look and feel, that's the main thing.
As an aside I thought Judge Dredd came close in the L&F department but was let down by a shit script and even worse casting and acting.

  4. Go for it - one of the Russian kids films is still one of my favourites.

  5. Where the Wild things are was one of my favourite books as a kid - I still read it to my daughters now. Although after 30 years or so, it's memorised by now...
