Police Not Taking The Piss, Honest

Makes a change from them* ‘taking the piss’ out of us the rest of the time.

Police Apology Over Urine Bottles

A senior police officer in Derbyshire has offered an "unreserved" apology after more than 100 bottles of urine were left near a public footpath.

*NOTE: I am not talking about the rank and file most of who are decent chaps trying to do a difficult job with their hands tied, only the senior ranks and the ACPO.

  1. I'm not entirely clear what exactly the police are apologizing for. For leaving rubbish uncollected, fair enough. But they seem to be making a special apology because it's urine. Were they expecting the local dossers to drink it or something? Make an interesting change from White Lightning, to be sure.

  2. Also I can't think why it was the police that would remove it from the house, unless it was to be 'tested' for some reason.

It then wasn't collected by the SOCO team and the local yutes had a smashing time, leading to an all pervading smell of pish.

They must of had a reason or they would have blamed it on the local council instead of apologising as per SOP

  3. Does anyone explain how it got there in the first place? If it wasn't the police who put it there, why should they apologise for not moving it sooner?

  4. Aha it becomes clearer

The force said the plastic drinks bottles were moved to allow officers to carry out a thorough search of the house, but a "breakdown in communication" meant they were left outside afterwards.
