Damn, That’s Lovely

I want one, can you imagine showing it to a small child (or even a large adult) and watching their eyes light up.

Rainbow In Your Hand

By  Masa-Ka

This book started as a personal project in summer 2007, and was soon published from a Japanese bookstore "Utrecht". It's a flipbook, but rather than seeing animation, it creates a 3D rainbow in your hand. Since being published it has been featured on Japanese TV, Newspapers, major news & blogsites like yahoo news, coolhunting and fffffound. This book won this years NY ADC silver cube.

Oh no, mustn't get this flipbook for my children. My children need to be brought into the new age of things - and what's wrong with this device?

First of all, no batteries - none. And no monthly subscription fees.

Secondly it doesn't require extreme attention in total isolation from everyone in their vicinity, it has to be more alienating, like an iPod or cell-phone, that shuts them off to those around them instead of opening them up.

And finally, it serves no political purpose for the benefit of the state and toward the goal of creating a new world order. It must include a sentimental though ungod-inspired message to the madness, like isn't global warming horrendous or aren't smokers discpicable, vote Labour, or Tory even - but certainly to have no hidden agenda behind it what-so-ever - then no - no - I mustn't buy such a thing for my children - my children are special - and I want to keep them that way.

So thank you very much for your tip, but toys such as this just don't fit the bill anymore, not in the glorious new scheme of things coming down the pike and for which I want my children and grandchildren deeply indoctrinated to - so they conform and fit in well - become the perfect little darlings as per the state and quangos tell them to be - mesh in - like teeth on a gears.

This toy simply won't then do.

PC it is one of those "Why didn't I think of that" moments. Very cool. I'd love to have been on JSTV plying my virtual rainbow, it all somehow fits.
