@WoaR Having just browsed some bee keeping forums, This does appear to be the general thought re. the white suits. haven't been able to find any science to back it up though.
Interesting though, I always thought that it was so you could see the little buggers and brush them off, when you were finished
I've been told that bees, even in Britain, don't like to be approached by people in dark coats and that's why bee keepers use white clothes.
ReplyDeleteThe theory is the bees are hard-coded for bears, but not polar bears.
Dunno if it is true.
