wrong

Excuse me but “AAAAAAAAARGH, it was always ‘WRONG’ you twunts”

I refer you to my earlier comment

UPDATE: The Daily Mail have now changed the headline to

Widow murdered at river cottage: Police fear grandmother who lived alone was stabbed to death in botched burglary

Which is something I guess.

If the so-called United Kingdom was a properly civilised country with a Government which did not prevent its own citizens from defending themselves, the murder of this woman could have been prevented.

The woman in this story did the RIGHT thing!

I don't know whether to admire your persistence or suggest you have a quiet lie-down when you meet crass idiocy on this scale - it might be better for you in the long run.

I sometimes wonder what the Mail's offices are like; somehow 'Drop the Dead Donkey' springs to mind...

Heh! I thought of your post the minute I spotted that headline. Wondered if you'd pick it up.

'Drop the Dead Donkey' was originally to be called 'Drop the dead Belgian' a phrase one of the writers had heard in a newspaper office

But was deemed to be in poor taste for TV audiences

Oh, yes. "Drop the Dead Donkey". That was a great show.

DtDD has been on my mind a lot recently as I have the misfortune to work for a Gus Hedges clone; sample quote from our recent training day, "We should never forget that the word 'appraise' contains both 'praise' and 'raise'" - he was revoltingly pleased with himself over that one.
