Well hello again best beloved.
I know I haven’t been round much, but I have been lurking and commenting on occasion..
Unfortunately real life was to the fore over the last couple of months, if you’ve been reading I’ve had a lot of training to do, visits to T’North included and trying to cram new information into an already stuffed head.
On top of that for the past month I’ve been out ‘live’ on sites delivering training whilst being shadowed by various assessors, having paperwork checked etc. So any ranting, amusing hamburgers or animal attacks has had to take a back seat, I think I’m going to enjoy this job and didn't want to feck it up.
However, I got the nod Friday, that I am now deemed competent enough to represent the company and the training wheels were coming off.
So today was my first solo mission, with no assessor or manager looking over my shoulder, everything went fine, no problems and you are more relaxed when not being observed and everyone seemed pleased with the job I did.
It’s not quite over as probation finishes end of April, but some pressure is off
Now I could do with a drink , but that’ll have to wait till Friday, booked out all week now.
So whilst not back full time, hopefully as I get into the flow and various parts become routine, postings should increase a bit.
In the meantime, Ladies and Gentlemen

Good to hear from you, Cat; I'm glad the job's working out.
ReplyDeleteI've been dealing with some real life as well - there's nothing like it for quashing the creative impulse. By coincidence, I was today considering a similar post with some good music, but you've done it so well I don't think I'll bother just yet.
Excellent news about the job - we've all been wondering how it was going. Are you going to give us a clue as to what sort of field you're now working in?
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear the job's going well.
ReplyDeleteThough I don't do hands-on frontline training any more, I still remember it fondly. Students can be a bugger, yes, but they can also be an absolute delight on rare occasions.
Great news about the job! Can't wait to see you back in full swing ;).
ReplyDelete@Macheath , very true, things that only a month before would have had you spitting fire don't seem quite so important any more.
ReplyDeleteThank v much to the rest of you .
@Petr: I don;t want to give away too much as the company has a very aggressive marketing team and I don't want to blot my copy book.By being discovered by a key word search
However, in short I am working as a software trainer , travelling to clients businesses and training people on the company's upgraded software package , it's a large multi module package so it can be everything from Receptionists to Senior Management.
I'm working out of home as a base, everything is done online , diarys, reports etc. So no office politics to deal with, Only meet with team & manager once per month but because I am meeting people everyday it doesn't feel isolated.
Good one PC, I'm glad it's going well for you
ReplyDeleteHope it all works out for you, PC.
ReplyDeleteNice one! Katsu curry might have to be on you!!
